Our counselors offer a full range of therapeutic, clinical and case management services to assist individuals and families who face a variety of life challenges. We work with people experiencing depression or anxiety, marital or family breakdown, post-traumatic stress disorder, and a variety of other complex issues which cause instability and emotional distress.

YCS helps people develop better coping skills, improved mental health, learn new parenting techniques and develop heightened awareness of and access to a variety of community resources. We offer an integrated program, coordinating a care plan with internal health, legal and housing workers, as well as partnering with external agencies to provide an effective and comprehensive service.

Counselling Services include:

• Individual, family and couples counseling            
• Case management and service coordination
• Crisis intervention
• Ongoing psychotherapeutic counselling 
• Advocacy
• Newcomer support 
• Information and referral
• Links to other community resources

Clients must live in the former City of York in Toronto.
