York Community Services has a 16 member Board of Directors, each serving a three-year term of office. One third of the members are elected each year at an Annual General Meeting held in September.

Board members are required to attend a monthly meeting of the Board and to participate on at least one Board Committee.

Candidates interested in joining the Board must complete an Application Form and be interviewed by the Nominations Sub-Committee. Their names will be put forward in nomination at the Annual General Meeting. A vote by the membership will determine which candidates succeed onto the Board. The Centre seeks a diverse range of individual skills and backgrounds for membership on the Board.
