The YCS chiropody program provides treatment, foot care, education and referrals for seniors, people with disabilities, adults and children who have underlying medical disorders, dermatological problems or other foot care needs.

Services include:

• Palliative foot care for disabled and the elderly
• Foot management for people with underlying medical disorders
• Treatment of dermatological conditions and painful lesions
• Prescription for orthotics
• Education on foot health
• Referrals to other medical professions

Chiropody patients must live within the YCS catchment area (former city of York). Referrals are accepted from community doctors, specialists and community agencies, as well as self-referrals.
